Welcome to Activaid

Led by a physiotherapist with over 25 years in practice, Activaid delivers personalized physiotherapy in our boutique clinic in downtown London. You see the same therapist every visit, and your treatment is built around your goals, your body and your life. No crowded treatment floors. No one-size-fits-all plans. No passing your file to someone else halfway through your recovery. Our evidence-based approach produces lasting results, combining expert evaluation with performance-focused hands-on treatment and state-of-the-art equipment — because the goal isn't your next appointment, it's your last one.

Root cause approach

Pain shows up in one place and usually starts in another. We assess how your whole body moves before deciding what to treat, so we're correcting the underlying issue instead of chasing the symptom.

Book online

Fixing the pain is the first step. Keeping it gone is the job.

Once we know what's driving your pain, we build a plan around your body and what you need to get back to — and we adjust it every visit based on how you're responding. Nothing off a template, and no treating two people at once.

Our method

Individualized treatment

Two people with the same sore knee rarely need the same treatment. Your plan is built for your injury and your goals, then adjusted week to week as your body responds.

Our services

Every plan starts with a full assessment. What follows depends on what we find.

Mark applying kinesiology tape to an athlete's knee

Sports and athletic injuries

Sprains, strains, tendon problems, and the injuries that come from training hard or coming back too fast. We work out why it happened so the same thing doesn't end your next season.

Motor vehicle accident rehab

Whiplash, neck and back injury after a collision. We handle the assessments and reporting your insurer needs, so you can concentrate on recovering.

Hands-on treatment of a patient's lower back

Everyday pain: back, neck and shoulders

Sciatica, disc problems, rotator cuff, headaches, and the pain that builds up from sitting at a desk for eight hours. Common does not mean you have to live with it.

Performance therapy

We review the physical limitations and weaknesses holding an athlete back, then build a mobility and biomechanics program to correct them and improve athletic performance.

Cast and built for your feet after a full biomechanical assessment. Often the missing piece in knee, hip and heel pain that keeps returning.

Meet your therapist

Mark Louzon

Physiotherapist and owner

Mark graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario and has practised for 25 years. His work has taken him across North America, treating athletes at every level, from recreational to Olympic calibre.

He opened Activaid because he couldn't deliver real value inside a high-volume clinic. Too many patients, not enough time with any of them. Activaid was built to be the opposite.

His focus is biomechanics: why a body broke down where it did, and what has to change so it holds up. He found his passion early and still has it, and he follows every client's progress closely.

Outside the clinic, Mark is a dad to three active kids, two dogs and two cats. Most of his spare time is spent playing sports with the kids.

Why we work this way

The aim is to eliminate and prevent musculoskeletal pain by restoring the body to its most efficient state. Three things shape how every plan is built.

Empower

You regain peak physical function and take the lead in your own recovery.

Improve

Treatment is measured by what it changes in your daily life, not by visit count.

Educate

Continuously, both ourselves and our clients. You should leave understanding your own body.

Mark is an absolute wizard when it comes to physiotherapy. He's helped me several times over the years, and I can't say enough good things about him. Hands down, the best physiotherapist in town in my books.

Mark listened to my subjective experiences where previous medical professionals chose to ignore them. As a result, he was able to provide an accurate diagnosis for an issue bothering me for over a year.
